The point of this list is to help
facilitate those who are new to homeschooling to quickly gather some free
resources together to begin their schooling. There is at least one free resource
per main subject. You may not end up staying with these programs, but they are
good enough to get you going, while you traverse through this new forest of
information and curriculums... This list will be updated as items come to our attention.... |
Always check with your state's laws and requirements, regarding what topics you
need to cover for legal homeschooling.

Free Advice:
Remember: YOU are now in control of your children's education. YOU have
to be proactive and do the work finding what you determine to be the
best for
your child. DO NOT expect anyone to hand it to you. DO NOT rely on someone's
list, even this one, to completely match your child's needs.
Define for yourself
what is right and needed for the best interest of your child.

| Reading | TIP to Encourage reading more: Let child stay up late reading in bed, if laying still, quiet and reading. If they act up, off goes the light. Reading for fun = Reading what THEY want, with parental approval, of course. Comic Books, library books of their choosing, magazines, ANYTHING. Should be a relaxed, ungraded time for them to read for fun. Every night! | ||
